Celebration of the St. George’s festivity in the homonym Church. The priests are get around the Church and pray and sing for the Saint and the believers that are at the entrance of the Church. The St. George Church is one of the four monolithic churches of Lalibela and is hollowed from the top to the bottom, this is why it’s not visible from the outside. Legend has it that King Lalibela, inspired by God and Saint George, built numerous churches of this kind throughout Ethiopia, aided by angels who worked during the night.
